This is our second visit to Le Grand Bleu. It has a patio which has quite high walls - ideal for our dog who can bark at neighbouring dogs if he sees them. The cottage is well situated with a short drive to Bigbury, Salcombe, Hope Cove, Kingsbridge, etc.The cottage is comfortable, with a lot of kitchen equipment. There is a Nespresso coffee pod machine and a Moka pot. We had to shuffle things around to find space to put our food, however there is a large fridge freezer. The external doors and windows were sticking after heavy rain - we could not close the small kitchen window, I informed the cleaner. The bathroom is nicely fitted and the beds are comfortable. You can park at the community centre a couple of minutes walk away - donations encouraged. All in all we had a lovely stay at Le Grand Bleu.

Had a really good stay at Le Grand Bleu which is in the lovely village of Averton Gifford. Cottage is compact and for 4 people and dog is a bit of a squeeze but as we were out every day it wasnt too much of an issue, but on the other hand it was very cosy at night especially when we had the fire on. Yes we did have it on in August !!!. It's a very quirky place with a few creaks and noises when you turn the taps on etc but the place certainly did grow on us. Beds are super comfy also.Sarah, the owner, was very responsive and helpful to any issues we had and also when we stayed an extra night. Location is perfect for the area, with Bantham and Bigbury only 15 mins away and other areas such as Dartmouth and Kingsbridge also close by it's a great spot. Would recommend anybody wanting to explore this area to stay here.

This is a charming property, beautifully stylised and in a great location to explore the South Hams. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful when we needed more time to depart due to illness. Would highly recommend.
