Rose Cottage is a deceptively spacious, yet quaint cottage just outside of the towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe. A fantastic accommodation for family get togethers, sleeping up to 11 in the peace and quiet, while just a stone’s throw from the main towns.. 1 step to entrance.

Private parking for 4 cars; additional on road parking. No smoking.. Rose Cottage is an idyllic, semi-detached, rural property set within the beautiful Devonshire countryside. Ideally located just a few miles from Salcombe and the south west coastline, the area offers an array of sandy beaches, coastal walks and breath-taking scenery. Rose Cottage is a two-storey property providing the perfect sleeping arrangements for families and large groups. On the ground floor is a spacious open plan kitchen/dining area which leads out through French doors to the private garden area, where you can enjoy outdoor seating and a barbecue. The kitchen is fully functional with a traditional oil-fired Aga, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. The living room comprises plenty of seating with a piano and a traditional wood burner. The fully equipped utility room comprises a washing machine, tumble dryer, toilet and sink. Upstairs there are four bedrooms and one family bathroom. There are three kingsize rooms, two with an en-suite, and a family room with a double bed with single bunk over, and an additional two single beds. The front garden at Rose Cottage is a lovely area, filled with various plants and of course, beautiful roses.

Positives - our group consisted of 6 adults and 4 children aged between 9 months and 6 years old. The sleeping accommodation was very good (kids enjoyed sharing a big room) as were the 3 bathrooms and downstairs toilet. Lovely showers and plenty of hot water. Kitchen was functional and the Aga was fine to use. Plenty of space to sit and eat downstairs and the utility room was great with both washing machine and tumble drier. Location was very good - quiet but close to Salcombe and Kingsbridge.Negatives - parking for more than two cars is an issue as a third car will partly block the lane and the farmer’s tractor which uses it and so we had to find somewhere to park our third car. Garden is small and could do with a bit of a tidy up. Kitchen is beginning to show its age but was functional.

Very nice cottage, plenty of room, quiet space for older generation, away from younger people. Ideal multi generation living.Location Ideal for beach or other nearby attractions.Or just go to one of the sandy beaches and play with the children what ever their age.Hosts very helpful, nothing too much trouble.If you enjoy walking you will have plenty of walks to choose from, bird watchers will love it, managed to see a pair of chough on the hills near the coast.Something for everyone.
