Ferrycot is in a stunning location right on the water’s edge of Salcombe Estuary.
The cottage is bursting with character and nautical décor and is the ideal destination for large groups or families.
Steps leading up to the front door, welcome you into a first floor landing. There is also access to the kitchen and living room at ground floor level.
The kitchen is newly refurbished with modern granite worktops, a four-ring ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The room also has a two-seater breakfast bar.
The spacious living and dining room is light and airy with fantastic views out to the Salcombe Estuary. The living room has a large L-shaped sofa with two poufes, great for unwinding after a long day. A large widescreen TV, DVD player and Bose iPod docking station is another fantastic way to keep all your guests entertained.
The dining area contains a large oak table with chairs, a bench and large bay window with views of the beach and over to Salcombe.
A beach room is also located on the ground floor. This has direct access to the beach and is great for storing wetsuits, boards and other seaside equipment.
A fully tiled cloakroom makes up the ground floor which has a WC and wash-hand basin.
Climb the staircase to the first floor where you can find all four bedrooms.
The master bedroom has a super king-size four-poster bed with a wardrobe, drawers, a TV and fantastic views of the estuary. The room also has an en-suite wet room with shower, wash-hand basin and WC.
Along the corridor, the second bedroom is a double room with a large wardrobe, drawers, TV and large window so you can access views of the estuary. This room also has an en-suite with a shower, wash-hand basin and WC.
The third bedroom has two single beds and a wardrobe with a TV, PlayStation and three game consoles, perfect for children. French doors also lead out to a small terrace. A fully tiled en-suite shower room with wash-hand basin and WC completes the room.
The fourth bedroom on this floor is ideal for children and contains bunk beds and a single bed.
A travel cot, high chair and stairgate are also available as children are welcome.
A terrace garden can be accessed from both the sitting room and beach room. There is a wooden table and chairs with a BBQ, ready to be sparked on those warm summer nights. There is a sea wall to the front with private steps that lead down the beach.
There is a swinging and running mooring for boats and dinghy’s available, which is a great way for you to explore the stunning surroundings.

East Portlemouth is a peaceful village nestled on the southern edge of the Kingsbridge Estuary in the South Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The small number of properties that make up this settlement are scattered on the hillside and around the cliff, with part of the village once being home to Coastguards employed during the nineteenth century to prevent any smuggling on this section of the South West Coast Path.
Nowadays the village consists of the Venue Café and a number of tiny peaceful beaches, some only accessible by boat, including Fisherman's Cove, Smalls Cove and Mill Bay, all of which have been awarded Safe Bathing status. Further inland situated creekside, is the pretty village of South Pool with its delightful pub, the Millbrook Inn. A haven for food-lovers, this establishment serves a heady combination of fresh English ingredients with traditional Galic cooking. Just across the estuary is the popular sailing town of Salcombe with its charming waterfront, independent boutiques and popular cafés, bars and restaurants, which can be reached easily by passenger ferry. The sandy beaches of North Sands and South Sands are also within easy reach. Further down the coast are the historic naval town of Dartmouth and the bustling city of Plymouth with its museums, aquarium, theatres, shopping and the Barbican.
