Rock Point in Salcombe is a well-appointed cottage with modern decor, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and great location. Guests enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and the thoughtful touch of a welcome bottle of gin, although this is not guaranteed. Some maintenance issues were noted, but overall, guests had positive experiences.
The property received compliments for its cleanliness, with guests noting it was very clean upon arrival. However, one review mentioned a poorly presented garden, which slightly impacts the score.
The location is highly regarded, being close to Salcombe Harbour and within walking distance to town. The convenience and scenic surroundings contribute to a high score.
Guests found the beds extremely comfortable and the house spacious. However, the size of the en-suite was a drawback for some, affecting the comfort level.
While the property is modern and well-equipped, several reviews cited maintenance issues such as a non-working tumble dryer, leaking radiator, and a conservatory roof. The kitchen was well-stocked, but some appliances needed attention.
The provision of a welcome bottle of gin was mentioned positively in reviews, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed and no other consistent gestures were noted, a specific score cannot be provided.

We had stayed at the property previously so knew what to expect. Itâs excellent to have the benefit of parking in Salcombe. We had an issue with TVs not working and quickly realised this was because remotes controls were missing batteries and an aerial cable was missing from bedroom 2. This was quickly rectified by the maintenance team. The wine cooler fridge is not working and the maintenance man tried changing the fuse to no avail. The PlayStation listed in Bedroom 3 isnât there anymore and on asking we were informed it was broken and hadnât been replaced. Beds were comfy and the property clean and spacious. Fridge space was a bit limited especially with no door basket for milk etc (assumed broken and removed) and this could be improved by adding a 2nd fridge in the utility room. The property was well equipped and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.

Great location, just a 5 minute walk to the town and the ferries. Very clean well equipped house for the family with super king beds and lots of room outside for the kids to play in an enclosed garden which also had a very sheltered patio seating area, most importantly for Salcombe off road parking! Lovely surprise to have a welcome bottle of gin on arrival too!

Cooking pans in need of replacement, work tops in need of replacement. Advertised as parking for 2 cars, which is important in Salcombe due to the restricted parking. Genuinely could not park in designated areas due to severe slopes in two directions. My vehicle is standard saloon car, I attempted to drive forward/ reverse into the designated parking area and failed due to the underside of the car catching on the tarmac. This was tried by approaching at different angles, I believe this is due to the slopes being dual directional. Should be advertised as not suitable for vehicles with low ground clearance.
