With exclusive use of the private outdoor heated swimming pool (seasonal), communal gardens, an allocated parking space and boat mooring, 36 The Salcombe is a great third floor studio apartment in central Salcombe for a couple looking to discover South Devon. Located in ‘The Salcombe’ apartments, on the famous Salcombe waterfront, and in close distance to sandy beaches, the water ferry, boutique shops and eateries.

Open plan living space - At one end, a bespoke hand - built kitchen beautifully completed by Barnes at Ashburton furnished with Miele and Neff appliances and Dekton worktops, decorated with Farrow & Ball coastal colours. At the other end, the living area accommodates two people on a comfortable pull down double wall bed, and double French doors lead out to a balcony. A shower room with electric shower is ideal for rinsing off sandy toes and salty hair after a day spent relaxing nearby sandy beaches at East Portlemouth. With its waterfront location, the property boasts stunning views from the living areas and balcony. Make the most of the stunning outdoors on the romantic balcony that’s perfect for enjoying a local tipple with a view.

This property is ideal for a couple wanting a coastal break in the heart of Salcombe, with beaches, boutique shops and eateries nearby. Want to hire a boat to explore Salcombe and it’s neighbouring towns and villages? The property has an enviable mooring for up to 15ft available.

Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.

    36. Well equipped and with a stunning view. Towels and linens provided. The wall bed is not the most comfortable but we booked in the full knowledge that this was fitted. Inclusive parking is a real bonus.

    Parking is a big bonus. The only comment is that the pull down double bed is quite small, so not suitable for some adult couples. Otherwise really enjoyed the stay, thank you.

    This is hidden in the body of the text as ‘wall bed’ (which I mistakenly thought was a bed against the wall) but no clear information that this is a pull-down or photos (as is the case in other apartments in the block). We had to leave it down as strapping bedding up and lifting it up was too much. The bed itself is rickety, thin foam mattresses and slats – very uncomfortable and resulted in back pain. I would not have booked this apartment knowing this. Other than the inaccurate listing the apartment was of good quality. It is a shame that with less furniture and smaller kitchen the room could have been designed with a permeant bed space.
