A full glass frontage slides open onto the balcony, revealing uninterrupted views up and down the Salcombe Estuary – a cinematic sweep of emerald waters, sandy coves and ever-changing coastal light. It’s the perfect place for a slow morning coffee watching the boats drift past, or evening sundowners after a day exploring the charming streets and beaches of Salcombe.
The middle floor hosts two elegant bedrooms, both with their own en suite bathrooms. The master bedroom is particularly special, with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass stretching across the entire width of the room, allowing you to wake up to the estuary beyond. The Finest Stays Team
Our stay at Firstlight was an absolute joy from start to finish. We visited with friends and instantly fell in love with those incredible estuary views, which seemed to wrap around us from every room. Mornings became a cherished ritual, slipping out onto the water for a peaceful paddleboard as the town slowly woke, the sunlight dancing across the estuary. By afternoon, we’d wander down the hill into Salcombe for a drink at the pub and a relaxed dinner, always feeling so grateful to have such beauty right on our doorstep. Evenings were our favourite: gathering on the balcony with a glass in hand, watching the sky change colour while we chatted and entertained friends in that gorgeous open-plan space.
