The cottage in Salcombe is praised for its cleanliness, fabulous location, and homely feel. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to the town and the convenience of a car park pass. While some find the upside-down living charming, others note the need for refurbishment and more comfortable beds. The property is dog-friendly and offers a well-equipped kitchen, though the outdoor space could be enhanced.
Guests consistently report the property as very clean, with several positive remarks about its tidiness. However, there are isolated comments about a damp smell and a dirty outside area, which slightly affect the overall high cleanliness rating.
The location is highly praised for being convenient and close to the town, with the ability to walk everywhere being a significant plus. The provision of a car park pass is appreciated, although the parking situation could be clearer at the time of booking.
Comfort receives a good score as guests enjoy the cosy 'attic' sitting room and find the house warm. However, there are several mentions of uncomfortable beds and the inconvenience of the living room's location, which suggest room for improvement.
The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests are impressed with the local support for maintenance issues. Nonetheless, reports of dated decor, a need for refurbishment, and specific maintenance issues like dampness and mould lower the score.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored, and guests should not expect gifts during their stay.

We enjoyed the upside down living, the upstairs lounge was lovely and warm in the evenings. Great value.
