Guests say

Island Quay 10 boasts an exceptional location with stunning views and direct access to the water, making it ideal for families with boats and those seeking proximity to Salcombe town. Guests appreciate the comfortable layout and unique setting. Some feedback highlights areas for improvement in cleanliness, maintenance, and kitchen equipment, but the property's position and overall experience remain its standout features.

Several guests noted issues such as dust, grime, leftover items from previous occupants, and some grubby areas, indicating that cleanliness could be improved.

The location is consistently praised for its stunning views, easy access to town, parking, and the rare benefit of mooring a boat directly outside.

The house is described as comfortable and well-suited for families, though some mention dated decor and minor issues with furnishings.

Guests appreciate the pontoon and general equipment, but note that the kitchen is under-equipped for larger groups, some appliances need servicing, and maintenance issues such as a small fridge, tired fittings, and terrace could be addressed.

There is no mention of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

A great house with some good additions/modifications made in recent years. It would benefit hugely from a better, larger fridge (currently not fit for purpose for a seven-person capacity), a BBQ, and a revamp of the terrace.

The house location is amazing, stunning views, walking to town and parking. However the house it dated, tired, and a bit scruffy. The front door is rotting, the bathrooms are dated and some are stained, the kitchen is tired with some doors not closing. The kitchen is also poorly equipped. It sleeps up to eight but there’s only chairs for six on the dining table and the glassware is limited and mismatched. I’m sad tbh as it’s put us off booking again. The location and view is the best thing about this property.

The cottage has massive potential and the location is ideal. However, the cleanliness and upkeep of the property were below expectations. We found a child's hair clip from the previous occupants in one of the chairs, the downstairs toilet was a bit grubby and there was several areas including bedside tables which had a layer of dust/grime on there. There had been a water leak from the master en suite shower at some point which had not been repaired properly, but simply a sign added which said to make sure the doors were closed properly on the shower door, but I don't believe this is the cause of the leak. The property has flooded at some point and the flood damaged floor has not been repaired in the kitchen. The dishwasher needs a service as we quite often had to put on twice to ensure pots were cleaned. The front of the extractor fan comes off when used. The cover to one of the blinds in the blinds in the bathroom falls off tooThe property photos show sun loungers in the garden, but these aren't here.
