Camar is a comfortable, semi-detached family home over three floors located in a quiet area of Salcombe, with a delightful terrace and mature gardens to the rear. The Spar store is 50m away whilst the main town is just 7-10 minutes’ walk (steep in places). Off-road parking for one car and space for a second on the road. Salcombe’s famous estuary is close by, whilst the beautiful beaches of East Portlemouth and Millbay can be accessed via a small passenger ferry that runs from the town.
The front entrance leads to a lobby area and hallway with stairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floors. The open-plan lounge/dining room is comfortably furnished and benefits from a TV whilst the dining area seats six comfortably. The modern kitchen is equipped with hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, secondary fridge, microwave and coffee machine (pods not supplied). French doors to the garden.
The master bedroom is on the top floor with views towards Snapes Point and South Pool Creek, double bed, fitted wardrobe and TV. An en suite has a shower, wash-hand basin, w.c. Two further bedrooms on the first floor; a double and a twin with two single beds. There is a family bathroom on the first floor with bath, shower (over) and w.c.
To the rear of the property is a mature garden with terraces and area of lawn, garden furniture and built-in barbecue. The garden backs onto Salcombe Rugby Club where complimentary social membership is available to guests of Camar.
Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.

Home from home with all you need. Bedrooms were spacious with 2nd floor bedroom having an ensuite. Word of warning, if you're tall, watch you head on sloped ceiling at top of stairs as you go into that top room but once in, it's full height. Sofa in living room needs an update but maybe that's personal preference due to back issues. That said there are a couple of chairs. As 3 couples with 3 cars we had to put the 2 smaller cars on driveway and our larger car on road blocking them. Parking is possible along road but first come first served and it's busy. Spar shop a couple of doors down was especially handy. Lovely back garden to sit in if sun is shining although garden furniture were 2 wooden benches and a wooden table with attached bench chairs. That said, we were out most of the time. Walking back to the place allowed us to burn off all those calories we'd eaten and drank in town. There were several options for getting back which included 'short and very steep', 'long and winding' or a mixture. I would definitely recommend the place and even go back.

Brilliant use of space and perfect design. Loved the kitchen and the garden especially, but everything was fantastic. Thank you!
