A gorgeous Devonshire retreat awaits lovers of Salcombe living. With sailing, beaching, walking and exploring all from the front door, this wonderful pied à terre for four is the perfect base from which to explore, and it's dog friendly too!
Midships sits in the epicentre of Salcombe, right above the thriving high street filled with both independent traders and well known brands – many of whom started their businesses here in Salcombe. In the morning you can wander along to the bakery for fresh croissants, and to the newsagents for your newspaper.
The waterfront is only a stones throw away from the apartment giving you access to ferries, boat hire and wonderful estuary views.
The entrance to the apartment is at street level to the right of the shop called Seasalt. Up a flight of stairs brings you to the front door. From the hallway you enter the spacious and bright open plan living area. The high ceilings, light tones and stylish furnishing gives a real sense of space and brightness.
A well-equipped kitchen with plenty of work space will let you cook up a storm, and we think the island area is the perfect place to pour a Salcombe gin and tonic! The dining table is a generous size to seat 4 people.
In the sitting area, comfortable sofas are a lovely place to sit and relax and to watch the television. The gas fire not only looks sensational, but kicks out a lovely heat. Please note that the glass does get hot and little ones will need to be watched.
The two bedrooms are clean, crisp and quiet as they are located at the back of the building away from any noise. The master bedroom with kingsize bed has an en suite bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. The twin room next door makes use of a separate shower room. Both bedrooms overlook the greenery of a shared garden through sash windows.
Accessing the garden is from the ground floor at the back of the building, and there is a bench to relax on, plus an outdoor dining area. Please note that it is a shared space with the other apartments.
No smoking allowed inside Midships.
One well-behaved dog allowed.
Please note that dogs cannot be left unattended in the shared garden, and any poo must be picked up and disposed of.

We had a fabulous stay in Salcombe last week. The apartment is very comfortable, airy and stylish. It has everything you need, and despite being right in the centre of Salcombe, it was very quiet. The provision of a parking permit for a space in the long stay car park was an added bonus. I rate the whole experience very highly. 5 stars
