A gentle tangle of cottages lead down to the river, where Adam’s Orchard is to be found, and here it is possible to launch a small dinghy or canoe from the quay.

The wood floors, pine latch doors, polished beams and delightful furnishings offer a high level of comfort in this desirable South Devon village. The cottage is only a few steps from the river Dart and beautiful Mill Pool, where the creek has been dammed to form a picturesque, tree lined pool in the lovely village of Stoke Gabriel on the upper reaches of the River Dart estuary. It is a quietly tranquil place and yet it has everything, a Post Office, paper shop and convenience store, 2 pubs and the excellent River Shack cafe/bar on the quay that is a minute's walk from the cottage.
A gentle tangle of cottages lead down to the river, where Adam's Orchard is to be found, and here it is possible to launch a small dinghy or canoe from the quay - this is a boating paradise and is ideal for canoeing and kayaking. Crabbing is a favourite pastime for children and there are plenty of riverside and woodland walks. The English Riviera towns of Torquay and Paignton are a few miles away and a boat trip on the River Dart is a must, with the fascinating Agatha Christie National Trust House and Gardens at Greenway a few minutes down river.

From the open porch, the front door leads directly into the dining room with dining table to seat four and stairs to the upper floor. The most attractive sitting room features a fine brick chimney breast that houses a gas wood burner effect stove, two comfortable sofas and TV/DVD with Sky Freeview. The kitchen, off the dining room, is very well equipped and fitted with shaker style units, dishwasher, halogen hob and built-under oven, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge/freezer. Downstairs cloakroom with basin and WC. Carpeted stairs to the landing. Pretty double bedroom with 5ft bed and large wardrobe with shelving. Small twin bedroom with 3ft beds and fitted cupboards. The luxury bathroom has a bath, basin and WC and separate shower cubicle with power shower.
Outside:
From the village lane, solid wooden gates open into the garden with steps up to a terrace in front of the cottage provided with table and chairs. Further steps wind up to a patio area with views of the Mill Pool and there is a pretty summer house with comfortable seating, a lovely spot to enjoy an evening drink. There is a designated parking place a few steps from the cottage with a further parking space on the quay.
