The Lodge is a fantastic house for multigenerational holidays or groups of friends looking for something striking and of generous proportions.

The Lodge is a spacious and elegant period property located in the coastal village of Strete near Dartmouth. For a luxurious golfing getaway with friends, a walking holiday with pals or a family holiday, this is the house to really enjoy one another’s company with all of its great facilities.

Sitting in an elevated position, you can enjoy the panoramic views over Start Bay, Slapton Sands, Torcross and round to Start Point lighthouse. This is the perfect base from which to make the most of the stunning coastline on your doorstep. The house is situated on the South West Coast Path taking you along rolling farmland down to the gorgeous beaches.

On entering the bright and spacious hallway, there is a sweeping staircase to the galleried first floor landing, and plenty to explore in this substantial holiday home. The lower ground floor has a very sultry cinema room for those partial to enjoying the latest Hollywood blockbuster.

The ground floor has plenty of entertaining spaces for everyone. The generous open plan kitchen and relaxed dining area with occasional seating is well-equipped and enjoys wonderful views of Start Bay and the light house beyond.

A more formal dining room that leads out to the garden will no doubt be a place for long suppers and even longer stories! And the two comfortable reception rooms are great spaces for relaxing in front of the TV, or using one as a playroom if you have little ones in the party.

Upstairs there are four fabulous upscale king size bedrooms (3 with en suite shower rooms), a spacious twin room and a family bathroom. The two front bedrooms enjoy exquisite sea views so you can wake up in the morning and enjoy a cup of tea in bed whilst taking in the coastal hues.

The self-contained attached annexe provides two double bedrooms each with an en suite shower room, a kitchenette and a large play room with television and table tennis table. This is a great place for teenagers to hang out or for grandparents to escape for some peace and quiet. Please be aware that while the accommodation is of high quality, it does not match the luxurious standards of the main house. The walled garden with sea views can be accessed from the annexe, with a wrought iron gate connecting to the main garden.

The main garden extends to the side of the property, affording the most stunning views over Start Bay, Slapton Sands and Start Bay Lighthouse.
