Clovelly Rise is a lovely quaint little cottage in a picturesque location. It is situated on a hill within a close walk to Dawlish town which was fine for us but anyone who struggles to walk may find the walk back up the hill quite challenging. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Great cottage in a fab location - with Coryton Cove a stone's throw away, and it was nice and quiet with a good coffee shop. The cottage was fab overall, with the only downside being the two single beds are in quite squeaky frames. 10 minute walk to town, so easy to get things. Highly recommended.

We've visited Dawlish over a number of years but have only recently started renting properties in this area. This house was quite easy to locate and very close to Dawlish village. There's good onsite parking which is great when you're out all day exploring. We were delighted with the clean and tidy rooms. It was especially useful to run a quick wash - we had very good weather so our laundry was ready for use the next day. The Smugglers Inn is a short, albeit uphill walk for a tasty carvery in the evening and they do an "all you can eat" breakfast in the morning. However, we did enjoy making our own breakfasts and evening meal ourselves, the kitchen is well stocked with useful items. The bedrooms are spacious and on the ground floor - which made unpacking easier because there are several staircases in this property. There's free WIFI but if you want to watch a film using the TV, please be patient because the signal can be a bit wonky in the evening..Excellent connections to bus, train and long stay parking. It's a short drive to Starcross where you can catch the little ferry over to Exmouth, or you can take the train to Paignton for the Dartmouth Steam railway.It was a little troubling when the central heating came on during the heatwave - we couldn't turn it off. We also experienced a little difficulty with the heavy recycle bin and the rubbish was not collected.
