Guests say

Old Town House in Dawlish is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and comfortable furnishings. Guests enjoyed the characterful property and thoughtful touches like a cream tea welcome, although some noted the absence of a freezer and the challenge of quirky stairs.

The property is consistently described as spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, with only a few minor comments about specific items not affecting the overall high standard of cleanliness.

The location is generally appreciated for its proximity to local amenities and transport links, though some guests found the road noise to be a disturbance. The convenience of the location for exploring Dawlish and the surrounding area is a highlight.

Comfort is well-regarded with guests mentioning good sleep quality and comfortable beds, although there are some remarks about lumpy mattresses and a desire for better mattresses to enhance sleep quality.

Facilities are deemed adequate with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and off-road parking. However, several guests suggested improvements such as the addition of a freezer, better outdoor furniture, and more kitchenware to cater for larger groups.

Guests frequently express gratitude for the thoughtful touches like the welcome pack with cream tea, although it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Spotlessly clean with everything you need provided. The stairs may be a bit challenging for anyone with mobility issues but manageable. Would certainly recommend.

We had a lovely stay there the nice touch was the scones and jam cream biscuits was very clean and had everything we needed only thing which would be better is a earlier book in as we waiting around a lot till 4pm

There was everything that we needed, down to laundry detergent which is lovely and a very personal touch. The only negative we have is that both the mattresses on the double and king size beds were tired and not very comfortable. We would stay again, there were no hidden surprises, the pictures showed the quirky stairs which we got used to. With thanks Chris & Lisa Barham
