Chudleigh, a historic wool town in Devon's picturesque Teignbridge District, is a wonderful day trip destination any time of year. There are relics from the town's Saxon past, such as the names of streets and landmarks, as well as more recent ones, like the caverns at Rock and the Iron Age hillfort that overlooks it. There is a wide variety of services and facilities available to visitors of Chudleigh, including two pubs, an English restaurant, supermarkets, specialty boutiques, and more. Located between the towns of Dunsford (in the north) and Chudleigh (in the south), the Teign Valley is a stunning, steep, wooded valley on the eastern slope of Dartmoor National Park.
