Set in a reverse level layout, the three tastefully decorated bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, two of which feature twin beds and the other a double. Getting to it down the narrow lanes in strong sunlight was a bit nerve wracking. For an elderly couple we found the bed too hard, and the lounge seating uncomfortable. We used our folding chairs.

The oven really, really needs replacing. I was unable to cook successfully in it. Everything needed longer because temperature was wildly inaccurate. Didn't like the well-used cheap crockery (except the mugs). Beautiful location but you should mention the five miles of narrow road to get to it. Beds comfortable but not the sofa (why is it always leather?)The window in the kitchen is painted shut.

The home is spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a nice welcome pack of bread, butter, jams, breakfast items and milk. It is situated in a beautiful area of Dartmoor. There is no noise from cars, overhead aircraft or noisy neighbours! A great place to relax and unwind with great walks straight from the door. We were lucky to have a complete week of sunshine and warmth which only added to the enjoyment. Highly recommended
