A charming two-bedroom coastal cottage, located in the picturesque village of Shaldon, located 100 metres from the beach, three pubs, village shop, butchers and bakery.. 1 step to entrance.

Nestled a stone’s throw away from the River Teign, this hidden gem invites you to kick back and relax. After a fun-filled day out, hang your coats up in the cloakroom and make your way through to the open plan kitchen and living area where you can sink into the comfortable sofa, flick on the flat screened TV, and unwind by watching some light entertainment. Start feeling peckish? Fear not as the kitchen is fully equipped to enable you to cook a hearty meal for you and your family. When the kids are in bed in the quaint and quirky bunk room, you can retire to your own comfortable double room, where both of you can sleep soundly ready for your adventures to come.
This cottage is conveniently placed offering many activities for you to enjoy during your stay. With the delightful Shaldon village on your doorstep, there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants for you to try out. If you fancy venturing further, why not jump aboard Britain’s oldest passenger ferry to Teignmouth, which weather permitting, operates 364 days a year. Further along the coast from Teignmouth is the traditional seaside town of Dawlish, perfect for families, with its golden beaches and rock pools, all within a short walk from the town centre.
Whether you want a romantic getaway or a family holiday, Daisy Cottage appeals to all, and acts as a perfect base whilst you embark on breath-taking coastal walks, mountain biking in nearby nature reserves, horse-riding, water sports, golf and tennis, there is definitely something to keep everyone entertained making your holiday as memorable as possible.

There isn't any private parking available however there are public car parks within 11 minutes walk:
1. Long Stay Public Carpark ½ mile from the cottage, reached through the village or off the A379 coast road to Torquay, postcode TQ14 0DP – 381 spaces, “pay & display” during the day but free after 6.00pm. Allow 15 minutes for the walking route.
2. Short Stay Public Carpark, opposite the church, postcode TQ14 0BP – 48 spaces, “pay & display” subject to a short stay 5 hour limit during the day but free after 6.00pm.
3. Extra parking – limited spaces along the streets in Shaldon and outside the cottage on Dagmar Street.

Overall was lovey stay and great location.There were a couple of things - the plumbing is so noisy that if you go to the toilet in the night you will wake the whole house up by flushing b the toilet or running a tap.The house was great - apart from the fact it says dog friendly but I am not sure this is a true reflection. The description says small garden / outdoor patio which is very misleading. There is a postage size piece of fake grass outside the back door which our mini dachshund could just about fit on. A bigger dog would not be able to utilise this.It was lovely but we wouldn’t stay again with a dog as it is not suitable in all honesty. Would be OK if made clear but description misleads.

Daisy Cottage is a lovely place in a fantastic location. The kitchen is well equipped, lovely sitting room and dining area. The king-size bed is very comfy and in the main bedroom there are doors opening out to a small rooftop terrace. The cottage is just perfect for a couple or family however there are a few areas of concern. Firstly the parking is totally appalling. It does inform you of this in the cottage info, however what it neglects to tell you is that the car parks recommended ie long term and short term are invariably full. Residents are not happy if you park anywhere seen as "their" space. The next concern was the lack of an outdoor space. There is absolutely no garden at all. The upstairs rooftop terrace is really not ideal for children especially as there is part of the roof not fenced off so it's a sheer drop to the ground below. The cottage was advertised as having open plan kitchen diner which it is not trueIt is not really dog friendly either as dogs are not allowed upstairs so impossible to be on the roof terrace. Why is there a £30 charge for dogs?
