Primrose Cottage, refurbished in 2023 is a two-bedroom seaside home located in the heart of Teignmouth, less than a minute’s walk from the beach, promenade, train station and Southwest Coastal Path. The holiday home feels stylish, bright and homely, the perfect base for a family or a group of friends looking for a relaxing coastal holiday.
As you enter the cottage, you will head into the cosy living and dining area which is comfortably furnished with plenty of seating, a table and chairs, Smart TV with Freeview and a sofa bed which can be set up to accommodate two guests if requested. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare a home-cooked meal and this leads to the modern shower room. The private garden at the back of the property is a real suntrap and has been lovingly set up for guests to enjoy with a patio area. Head upstairs to discover the two beautifully furnished bedrooms, the first with a kingsize bed and the second with twin beds.
When you are ready to escape the charm of this property, you will be spoilt for choice with breathtaking scenery to explore. Primrose Cottage is the perfect getaway for foodies, shoppers, families, walkers, and beach and water sports lovers due to its enviable central location. Teignmouth is a traditional seaside town on the south coast of Devon where the Georgian and Victorian architecture and the steam railway tell of its coastal holiday heritage. You can enjoy traditional fish and chip shops, fine seafood restaurants and a collection of fun attractions.
Why not take a ferry to the charming neighbouring village of Shaldon? The train offers easy accessibility to the beautiful city of Exeter, home to an architecturally intricate cathedral and unique shops. Just a short car journey from Teignmouth is Dartmoor National Park with tors, historical sites and ancient woodlands to explore. Teignmouth is also linked to the moors by the Templar Way, an 18-mile walking route, which traces the journey that Haytor granite would historically make when exported from Dartmoor. Primrose Cottage is a beautiful cottage, very spacious open plan lounge and dining room. Well spaced kitchen and fabulous shower, very powerful. Bedrooms were large and plenty of storage. The garden is a lovely aset, great for the dogs. Even though opposite a pub we didnt hear any noise and slept well every night. Lovely welcome gift from the owner as well. Even though no parking, we managed to park in a nearby lay-by to offload, then found on road free parking about a 5 minute walk, so no isues. The cottage is in a perfect location, close to everything and 2 minutes from the beach. I highly recommend Primrose Cottage and we will definitely be returning.

Loved this place. Everything you need for a great stay: well equipped kitchen, games, books etc. Comfy beds, very clean throughout. Shower was excellent, possibly best I've ever used! Really nice welcome basket, something which you don't always get these days. Yes, I could list some very minor quibbles, but won't as they had no negative impact on my stay whatsoever. Thank you Carlie for being a great host.
