Primrose Cottage, refurbished in 2023 is a two-bedroom seaside home located in the heart of Teignmouth, less than a minute’s walk from the beach, promenade, train station and Southwest Coastal Path. The holiday home feels stylish, bright and homely, the perfect base for a family or a group of friends looking for a relaxing coastal holiday.
As you enter the cottage, you will head into the cosy living and dining area which is comfortably furnished with plenty of seating, a table and chairs, Smart TV with Freeview and a sofa bed which can be set up to accommodate two guests if requested. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare a home-cooked meal and this leads to the modern shower room. The private garden at the back of the property is a real suntrap and has been lovingly set up for guests to enjoy with a patio area. Head upstairs to discover the two beautifully furnished bedrooms, the first with a kingsize bed and the second with twin beds.
When you are ready to escape the charm of this property, you will be spoilt for choice with breathtaking scenery to explore. Primrose Cottage is the perfect getaway for foodies, shoppers, families, walkers, and beach and water sports lovers due to its enviable central location. Teignmouth is a traditional seaside town on the south coast of Devon where the Georgian and Victorian architecture and the steam railway tell of its coastal holiday heritage. You can enjoy traditional fish and chip shops, fine seafood restaurants and a collection of fun attractions.
Why not take a ferry to the charming neighbouring village of Shaldon? The train offers easy accessibility to the beautiful city of Exeter, home to an architecturally intricate cathedral and unique shops. Just a short car journey from Teignmouth is Dartmoor National Park with tors, historical sites and ancient woodlands to explore. Teignmouth is also linked to the moors by the Templar Way, an 18-mile walking route, which traces the journey that Haytor granite would historically make when exported from Dartmoor. Perfect location to walk to everywhere in Teignmouth. After unloading as suggested by the owner on arrival, we parked on the Railway station car park all week for £22 which was perfect. It was a 3 min walk away. Cottage was always warm and the seating comfy in the lounge. The kitchen was fine and had plenty of equipment. Bathroom shower was great. Bedroom had plenty of space for clothes. Very quiet location despite being right in the town and no noise issues with the pub opposite at all. Garden is secure and safe for dogs. We would definitely recommend and love to return.
