First impressions were WOW! Loved the location near Clovelly and just a short drive down a narrow lane. Loved the parking space - enough for several large cars.Loved that it was 2 cottages in 1 - the original old building and the newer extension. This means 2 families have separate sleeping quarters. Didn't use the separate 'games room' across from the main entrance.Loved the massive lounge with its massive settees. Didn't like the grand piano as nobody could play it but the kids would happily have a go.Wasn't a fan of the benches at the kitchen table - would have preferred chairs. Wasn't a fan of the bathrooms, which both lacked a stand-up shower. If you wanted a proper stand-up shower you had to use the downstairs toilet, which doubled as a shower room. Nice idea but the execution is flawed because you have to dry yourself and get dressed inside the small room where everything is wet (because you've just had a shower). Otherwise you have to wrap yourself in a towel and walk through the house to your room to dry off properly.Didn't like that there was no 'Welcome book' which contained everything you needed to know about equipment, recycling, etc. The owner prefers to give you some information via SMS and relies on you texting back if you have any questions. We stopped asking after a while because it was too much trouble.Loved the wrap-around lawn/garden and the massive garden table and chairs. Brilliant for sitting out in the balmy summer evenings watching the Sun go down. Depending on the wind direction it was sometimes difficult to get shelter from it.Overall a nice experience and would happily return if we are in the area again.

A great house in a fabulous location! The house was clean and tidy with lots of space for 2 families. The outside space is excellent and great for family games. The area is lovely - be prepared for steep hills! Lots of lovely beaches in driving distance.
