Disappointed .. could hear noise rising from the pub when they held different event nights , went on till around 11.30 pm . Didn't serve food . Felt every thump from doors banging closed underneath us . Would recommend taking your own bath towel , as what's provided is rather small . Was aware it was a working village , but didn't expect a 6.30 am wake up call every morning due to tractors rambling through right outside the bedroom window. Land lady we couldn't fault , locals we talked to were friendly enough and didn't make us feel unwelcome . If your looking for a nice quite , chilled out holiday , this definately isn't the place to be ... but If you enjoy a nightly pint or two and are used to constant noise , then it's probably perfect ... a good base to explore from . Wasn't the chilled out relaxing holiday we were hoping for , wouldn't book again .
