Had a lovely week in Heath Hills with the family/dog and Father-in-law. Accommodation is great and has loads of character - house is spacious and clean, excellent bedroom and bed sizes and the extra living room for the teenagers with the big TV and all the DVD's was a real bonus. The location is so peaceful/private and chilled - it was wonderful if you want to get away for some R&R. Okehampton town is very close with lots of supermarkets to choose from so that was great for nipping to for food shopping. Not a huge amount to do in the local area - but the beaches are just over an hour away and were really nice. Bit of a nail biting trek down the windy single lane to the house from the main road with very few passing places - but we only ran into people coming the other way 3 or 4 times during our stay so wasn't that bad. Lovely size kitchen with all the amenities you need which was great. Wifi and TV signal was good during the week but seemed to disappear during the weekend (might have just been a fault whilst we were there though). We ended up having to split shower times though as we found the hot water ran out when 3 adults and 3 teenagers were all trying to have one in the mornings but hardly the end of the world. Overall a lovely-lovely relaxing week, just one minor 'gripe' however. The house is dog friendly which is great - but I do think it should be stated on the main advert that dogs are only allowed downstairs! We only found this out from the welcome email a day or so before we set off. Not being allowed on beds or furniture is obviously standard in most holiday lets we use - but this was the first time that he hasn't been allowed upstairs and he didn't cope that well as he sleeps in our bedroom with us at home. Overall though - would definitely recommend if you're looking for a peaceful place with loads of great character to relax. Many thanks!

Large house in a peaceful rural setting with lots of room (we were 9 humans & 2 dogs). The kitchen is well equipped and the dogs loved the enclosed field. The outside seating area was lovely to sit at in the evening sun but anyone with mobility issues would struggle with the uneven steps. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again 😊
