Fantastic place to stay in lydford. The private road in is a little bumpy but once at the driveway it was great. Secluded woodland setting, we felt right at home. House was spotles, spacious and we loved the personal touches from the owner. We walked to the castle inn from the house - definitely bring walking boots(!) and enjoyed the pub too. Loads of parking, and plenty of space in the house. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful and grand place. All the rooms are really big and well appointed. The photos don't do the house justice....much nicer in real life. The grounds and woods are beautiful, especially when we stayed in autumn. And Dartmoor is on your doorstep!! Would defo return.

Wonderful house which was nicely secluded. Perfect holiday home for a group of friends and a dog to relax in despite the inclement weather. Local pubs were excellent.
