After you've chosen your bedroom, get to work in the fully-equipped kitchen, where you'll find all the appliances required to cook up a delicious meal for the whole family to enjoy at the dining table. After dinner, relax and unwind in the sitting area, which features dual aspect windows that showcase your stunning, rural location, where you and your loved ones can enjoy a film on the sleek, Smart TV as you catch up on the day's events. As day rolls into night, refresh with a rejuvenating shower or perhaps an indulgent bath before you retire for a well-earned rest in one of the four plush bedrooms, which include a master suite complete with king-size bed, dressing area, and an en-suite bathroom. Across a small courtyard from the entrance to Hurwick Lodge is a detached 2 storey annex providing a further 5th bedroom on the first floor, and a shower room on the ground floor. For those who prefer the ease of having a fascinating town right outside their door, this is the ideal vacation spot in the country. Dartmoor offers fantastic hiking opportunities, National Cycle Network route 27 offers cycling, renowned game fishing, beautiful gardens, and several National Trust sites are close by. The port city of Plymouth, with its Historic Royal William Yard, Barbican Quay, and intriguing museum The Box, which features history, art and houses an archive for Plymouth and the South West, is conveniently located nearby. Note: As the property is on a working farm, all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and dog poo picked up please.
There is a small enclosed garden for exercising your dog, otherwise there are many beautiful walks on Dartmoor.

The Lodge is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is so peaceful, with amazing views, yet convenient for the town and local places of interest. The owner had lots of useful suggestions for glorious walks and great pubs. We would definitely stay here again.

The place is only a 5 min drive into Tavistock with Dartmoor just further beyond. The property was well equipped and well maintained, and the owners were nearby and made us feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back again.
