The Blackmore Vale is a great touring base, with West Stour sitting midway between the picturesque towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne. Sherborne (9 miles) is home to honey-coloured streets, two castles and a striking Abbey, while Shaftesbury (7.5 miles) offers stunning views from its hilltop position and the much-photographed Gold Hill. Both towns have a good selection of pubs, shops and cafes. Many walking and cycling routes weave through the surrounding rolling countryside, or if you want to head further afield and visit one of the wide range of attractions within 30 miles, try Stourhead (11 miles), Longleat (20 miles), Haynes Motor Museum (14 miles), the county town of Dorchester (24 miles) and the Isle of Purbeck (30 miles), Henstridge Airfield (3 miles)

Patio doors lead to a fantastic, covered terrace and seating area at the front of the property, which has lovely distant views of the surrounding countryside.

To the side of the property is a second inviting gravelled terrace with a second table and chairs, plus a charcoal BBQ ideal for al fresco dining. To the side of the property is an off-road parking space for one car.
