With the sandy beach and traditional entertainments of the seaside resort of Swanage within a few minutes drive, this cottage is ideally located for enjoying both coast and countryside. The quaint purbeck village of Langton Matravers has a public house for meals and local beers and ciders, which is an easy stroll from the cottage. The area is a haven for keen walkers and cyclists, with footpaths leading from the village to join the nearby coastal path, which leads to Swanage and the small coastal villages of Worth Matravers, Kimmeridge, and Lulworth. The area is also part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, which boasts wonderful unspoilt panoramic coastal views.
The steam railway is also close by. This spacious cottage dates back to 1560, and still retains many original features, including charming beamed ceilings and a large inglenook fireplace. On the ground floor is a fitted kitchen with attractive units, equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, as well as a cloakroom with WC. There s a dining room with a beamed ceiling and large table a pleasant place for delicious dinners or big breakfasts. The large lounge is furnished with a sofa and armchairs, as well as a TV/DVD, all situated in front of a wood burning stove which sits in the inglenook fireplace.
Up the cottage style stairs you ll find three attractive bedrooms two double rooms, one with a wash hand basin, plus a twin room. There s also a shower room with WC. On a raised area at the rear of the cottage is a lovely large garden with extensive lawn, accessed by some stone steps. It lies adjacent to open fields, and is a good place to relax or play. Garden furniture is provided so you can dine al fresco. There s also parking for up to three cars available on the driveway. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 2 double and 1 twin.

Garden is not enclosed, due to the raised level this is not suitable for unsupervised young children. Off road parking for 3 cars. Pub and shop walking distance, beach a short drive. No WiFi.
