Guests say

Guests consistently praise 'The Barn' for its spaciousness, exceeding expectations in size and comfort. The property's peaceful farm setting in Dorset hills, complete with friendly farm animals and scenic views, contributes to a relaxing atmosphere. The owners, Julian and Vanessa, are commended for their warm hospitality. While most reviews highlight cleanliness and ample facilities, a few note minor issues with provisions upon arrival. Overall, the property is highly recommended as a base for exploring Dorset and enjoying a tranquil retreat.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews frequently mention the property being 'spotlessly clean' and 'very clean', indicating high standards of cleanliness. Only one review mentioned a lack of some basic provisions, but this does not detract significantly from the overall impression of cleanliness.

The Barn's location is praised for its beautiful rural setting and proximity to local attractions and the coast. The peacefulness of being on a working farm and the scenic Dorset hills contribute to a positive experience, although one review mentioned the need to be careful when turning into the driveway.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the accommodation spacious. The presence of a log burner adds to the cosy atmosphere, and the property's tranquillity enhances the comfort level.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property described as well-equipped and having everything needed for a stay. However, a few guests noted the absence of basic items upon arrival, such as toilet rolls and washing up liquid, which suggests room for improvement in ensuring a fully stocked welcome.

While the reviews reflect positively on the owners' hospitality and mention the provision of fresh eggs, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category. Therefore, the score is set to null, and guests should note that such extras, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
