Guests say

Churchview House is a well-equipped cottage ideal for large gatherings, offering ample space, a large kitchen, and multiple en-suite bedrooms. Guests appreciate the warm welcome, including a delightful chocolate cake, and find the property comfortable despite some traffic noise from the A35. The local pub and attractions add to the charm of the stay.

The property is consistently described as clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating a high standard maintained by the hosts.

The location is convenient for exploring local attractions, but the proximity to the busy A35 road is a concern for some guests due to traffic noise and parking challenges.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the house warm, with sufficient space for large groups. However, some guests mention that traffic noise can affect the comfort of those in front bedrooms.

The property is praised for its well-equipped kitchen and ample space. Some guests note that certain facilities, such as showers, could benefit from modernisation and maintenance.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, providing a welcome pack and a chocolate cake, which is a hit among guests. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Churchview House is a very comfortable house, the large kitchen makes preparation of meals for a crowd easy. The bedrooms are comfy and having a bathroom per room is a bonus. We had four cars, and any more would have been difficult, especially if the weather has been wet, as parking on the lawn at the back, does risk being damaged, when moving them. Very warm, heating and hot water very efficient, we didn't need to light the fire. Struggled with 10 adults in either of the living rooms at one time, which was a little disappointing but we managed. Would happily return but not in the summer as the A35 would be non stop and you wouldn't be able to open any windows without traffic noise, but the double glazing was superb.

Great place for a large family gathering, with a few reservations; not enough parking spaces, especially in a wet winter when using the lawn is not possible and some of the bathrooms need a bit of maintenance from cracked shower heads, leaking shower screens and no hot water in one room. Great location for exploring the Jurassic coast, Weymouth Lyme Regis etc.Overall we had great time staying there.

Fantastic 3 night 60th birthday celebrations with 17 family members. Really well equipped for a large group and was warm enough. The hosts were lovely - welcome pack including a chocolate cake was much appreciated. The parking is tricky and we ended up parking 3 cars in the pub car park - they were OK with that as we were there on the Saturday night! There was room outside the house for 2 cars and for 2 cars on the driveway. The house is on the main, very busy A35 which has heavy traffic passing close by where you park. There is traffic noise in the front bedrooms but that didn't bother any of us. There is a large fridge a separate freezer and a drinks fridge - so plenty for 17 of us. We would come back here and highly recommend it.
