The Bakehouse in Lyme Regis is a well-loved cottage, praised for its ideal location, comfortable beds, and beautiful garden. Guests have enjoyed the local amenities, the beach, and the property's historic charm. While there have been some concerns about maintenance and a fusty smell in the kitchen, the overall experience has been positive, with many guests eager to return.
The property generally appears to be well-kept, with a few mentions of a fusty smell in the kitchen cupboards and dampness in a wardrobe. These isolated issues suggest room for improvement in cleanliness, but they do not overshadow the overall positive feedback.
The location is consistently praised for being ideal, with easy access to the beach and local dining. The positive remarks about the area and convenience suggest a high level of satisfaction with the location.
Guests have found the beds very comfortable and the property to be a home from home. The presence of a bunk bed for children and the overall cosy atmosphere contribute to a high comfort level, despite some concerns about a damp wardrobe.
While the property is well-equipped and guests have enjoyed the garden and summer house, there have been issues with a broken fridge and a leaking shower. These maintenance concerns affect the score, indicating that attention to these details could enhance the guest experience.
There is a mention of a welcome pack, but it is not clear if this is a standard offering or if it varies. Without consistent references to gifts or additional thoughtful touches, it is not possible to accurately score this category.

Beautiful garden and very well maintained throughout. Very comfortable beds. We would absolutely book again. Maybe a window restrictor on the kids' room would be useful as the window is low for younger children. Thank you.

We loved the location and the historic setting. Beds were very comfortable and our kids enjoyed the bunk bed. Hope to come back someday!

A home from home - everything we needed to relax and be together. The apples off the tree were delicious. We ate at The Harbour Inn, Poco's and lots of lovely trips out and swims in the sea, fun in the beach hut and on the beach. Thanks.
