This property would appear to have been an older person(s) house and is very much in need of updating. The heating is very efficient and there was plenty of hot water. It is in a good location, very quiet side road with parking in the drive. However, the double bed has two rather tired and uncomfortable mattresses on it. The quilt was thin and not very warm (considering it was January when we stayed) and one of the pillows was made up of an old thin pillow and some pieces of cut up quilt or filling of some kind. The curtains in the lounge and bedroom were hanging off the tracks and on our second day I couldn't get the righthand bedroom curtain to open at all. The net curtain in the bedroom had a large hole in it and it was far too long for the window. The kitchen pedal bin doesn't work and the lid was dirty. The fridge has a broken milk shelf on the door so you need to be careful about the weight you put on it. It is missing the two smaller door shelves because the lugs that would hold them on are broken. Both the fridge & freezer are very old and battered. The bathroom would benefit from a radiator rack to put damp towels on. The adhesive hooks on the bathroom & bedroom doors are a poor design and one is actually on upsidedown! They are not strong enough for even a lightweight T shirt and altho we didn't use them, twice they fell off. The shower screen was dirty. The cleaning products were cheap and ineffective so we were unable to make much headway trying to clean on our departure.

We enjoyed our stay here, but it seems like it’s only recently become a rental property, & certain things need sorting, eg a list of info - switch outside bathroom to turn on shower, Wi-Fi code, how to turn on heating, how the microwave & other equipment works. No salt & pepper (I bought & left a grinder of each. The frying pans were appalling - need throwing away. I bought a wok which I left there. A frying pan a a baking tray had been put away with fat in (I washed them). We couldn’t find the secure key holder. These are all sortable, don’t be put off. Garden v large, with good, plentiful furniture, beds okay - we had to double up our duvets, but there is plenty of bedding there, all well used but clean.Conservatory nice to sit in, when it’s sunny.
