Guests say

Jasmine Cottage is a characterful and spacious property with a beautiful garden, ideal for families and dog owners. Its location is praised for proximity to beaches and tourist spots. The cottage's old-world charm adds to its appeal, though some guests noted challenges with steep stairs and low ceilings.

Most guests found the cottage clean, but a few mentioned areas that could benefit from a deeper clean. The overall impression is positive, with minor suggestions for improvement.

The location is highly regarded for its peacefulness and convenience to local attractions like Ringstead beach, Weymouth, and Durdle Door. The scenic views and countryside setting are appreciated by guests.

While the cottage is found to be spacious and generally comfortable, several guests reported issues with bed comfort and accessibility for those with mobility concerns, affecting the overall comfort score.

Facilities are well-received in terms of space and equipment, but some guests encountered maintenance issues with heating and electronics. The garden's maintenance and safety concerns with a remote control lawn mower were also noted.

Guests mentioned a lack of a welcome pack despite it being advertised, which suggests room for improvement in thoughtfulness. However, it's important to note that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary.

We had the most magical stay at Jasmine Cottage. 6 adults 2 children and a dog the layout was perfect for us. My in-laws had their own section as did my eldest and her friend. My younger two loved the 'hidden' stairs to our level where we had a gigantic bath to our selves. The cottage is warm and cozy and you can do as much or little as you want. It is everything you want from a thatched cottage. We loved it that much we have booked to stay again for same week!

We were a family group of 7 ladies and dogs. The cottage was spacious and is in a fantastic location for walking and for catching the bus to Weymouth or Dorchester when you don't want to drive. It was a chilly weekend and unfortunately two of the bathrooms had radiators that weren't working so they were quite cold. We took plenty of firewood so could use the wood burner to keep the living room warm and cosy. The bedrooms were warm with the central heating. The kitchen could do with some sharper knives and some scissors, but otherwise was perfectly fine. The stairs are quite steep, but that didn't bother us, in fact it added to the character of the cottage. The local pub, The Smugglers Inn , did a very good Sunday roast. We would definitely come back here, but probably in the spring or summer.
