Guests say

The White Cottage in Weymouth is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches from the owner, Joy. Guests appreciate the property's suitability for families and those with mobility issues, as well as its secure garden for pets. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with the property's location being convenient for beach access and local amenities.

Guests consistently report that The White Cottage is immaculately clean, with several reviews highlighting the excellent cleanliness of the house. Only one review mentioned surface dust due to recent decoration, which appears to be an isolated incident.

The location is generally well-received, with guests finding it convenient for reaching the beach and local attractions. The area is described as quiet, and the proximity to supermarkets is appreciated. Some guests noted the area is not the best, but still found it to be a good base.

The comfort of The White Cottage is frequently commended, with guests mentioning comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and a layout that accommodates large groups and families. The presence of multiple bathrooms and a utility room adds to the comfort level.

Facilities are generally well-equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen and ample towels and crockery. However, some guests reported issues with garden maintenance, appliance compatibility, and minor maintenance needs, which suggests room for improvement.

The owner, Joy, is frequently praised for her thoughtfulness, including welcome packs and prompt responses to guests' needs. While these gestures are highly valued, it should be noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Water pressure is a little low but that was our only grumble. The place is roomy, every bedroom is large, as is the family bathroom. Ensuite in the back bedroom and another shower room downstairs. We loved the luxury bath towels and welcome touches in the kitchen. The owner left us a welcome card an phoned to ensure everything was going to plan. The house is a mile from the beach with a direct pathway straight to the clock tower on the promenade. The totally enclosed garden is ideal for our dog. Would we stay again - YES

There was a nice welcome tray with tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us on arrival. Milk and juice in the fridge...a generous touch from Joy the owner. The house had everything we needed and all the rooms were a generous size. The garden was good for the grandchildren to play in and well secured. Location was good and within easy walking distance to the beach and promenade.

We had a lovely holiday at The White Cottage. There was plenty of room, the house was nice and clean and well equipped. The location is perfect for the beach about a 10-15 minute walk. There is a garden which was very handy for drying the washing and nice enough to sit in. The kitchen is a good size, we managed to sit all nine of us around the table but there is also a breakfast bar and a couple of stools. The owner popped over to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us her details if there were any problems. We would definitely return as it suited us very well
