The owner has creatively combined three cottages into one spacious property with quality self-catering facilities & lots of period character & charm. It's perfect for a family reunion, milestone celebration, hen weekend, wellbeing retreat, or a corporate event. Catering and activities can be arranged with the owner. Mill End is a gorgeous holiday house in a beautiful location, for groups of up to 25 (£3,000.00), 35 (£4,000.00) or 40 £5,000.00) for 2 nights. The medieval country house is in the welcoming village of Mitcheldean, six miles from Ross-on-Wye & within easy reach of the cathedral city of Gloucester. It's the perfect choice for your family reunion, celebration or fun hen weekend as there is plenty to see & do within a small radius. The owners of Mill End also run a successful events & catering business (www.bordellobanquets.co.uk). They can help with activities & catering to ensure that you & your guests have a relaxing & fun time. There is a small supermarket, fish & chip shop, pub & microbrewery within walking distance. All supermarkets deliver, & you can arrange for some meals to be catered in-house if you're planning a special meal or want the luxury of having someone cook for you. The owners do not allow outside caterers to use their facilities.

Mitcheldean is a quiet, friendly village convenient for some of the region's favourite sights & attractions. The Forest of Dean is a great place for walking & mountain biking. You can hire bikes locally or if you bring your own, wash and store them securely at Mill End. Kayaking & fishing on the River Wye are also popular, as are golf, gorge walking, horse riding & abseiling. Local attractions include Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves, Gloucester Cathedral, & Chepstow Castle. The owners of Mill End have a great reputation for organising hen parties & corporate events with fun activities, great food, & lots of opportunities for socialising with old friends. They can help arrange anything from a Mad Hatter's Tea Party to wine tasting, adding in extras like a photo booth so you don't forget a minute of it!

Accommodation Comprises:

Mill End is a collection of three properties that have been knocked through to create one spacious holiday home with a flexible layout that can be tweaked to suit your group size & budget needs & offers accommodation between 20 & 34 guestsover 10 to 14 bedrooms. Plus the cottage next door for really large groups.

Social:

All communal areas have been furnished & decorated by ex-fashion designer Liz Lewitt, to be welcoming & to encourage socialising.

Kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling & exposed oak beams. This will be the place of some of your happiest holiday memories with great food & fantastic company. Professional catering quality appliances make light work of cooking for a full house, & are suitable if you want to arrange for external caterers via the owners. It's a gorgeous blend of efficiency & homeliness where people will love to gravitate. Trestle tables can seat up to 40 people & be moved out of the way for yoga & dance classes.

A second kitchen is perfect for quick meals like breakfasts or afternoon tea. It also has a cocktail bar & equipment for baking.

Leather sofas, timber floors, & flashes of animal print give the main living room a classically stylish vibe. The lounge area in Lower Malt House also features a 65-inch Bluetooth hdmi ready Smart TV & leads to let you plug your laptop in to stream videos or presentations.

An oak framed extension acts as a conservatory or a garden room with leather sofas, books, occasional tables, & beautiful garden views. It has a log burner to ensure it's usable in all seasons, & a pool table for after dinner fun.

Indulge in a spa treatment in the therapy room furnished with an adjustable massage couch, foot spa, facial steamer, & collection of books relating to wellness. Guests also have use of steam & infra red sauna cabins for a small fee.

Sleeping:

Doves & Swans has bunks with a double on the bottom & a single on the top. The family bathroom next door also has child-friendly features with a shower over the bath, WC & a handbasin.

Arts & Crafts has a double bed & an ensuite shower room.

Sunshine Yellow is up a steep flight of stairs in the Upper Malt House & features a single & double bunk to sleep a maximum of two guests. There is hanging space & a chest of drawers for storage.

Rinky Dink Pink is another charming bedroom featuring a double & single bunk to accommodate two people - either a couple or two singles. We do not recommend you use this for three people.

You'll want to keep the four-poster room for yourself. It has an elegant king-sized bed with a double-end bath & shower attachment & ensuite WC.

Inspired by the Far East, the Chinese Room is ideal for families. It has a a double bed, single bed & a cot with an ensuite bathroom.

Live your finest French chateau fantasies in the White Room decorated with Toile de Joy soft furnishings & furnished with bunk beds & a single bed to sleep up to three guests.

The Japanese Room features a double & 2 single sleigh beds. Original oak beams reflect the age of the cottage.

Fresh white & delicate pink are a lovely touch in the Butterfly Room which has a double bed & a day bed suitable for a child.

Cosily compact, the Nell Nile Room has single bunk beds adjacent to the Butterfly Room, and is a walk past room suitable to make the butterfly an extended family room for 5 or for hens.

Jovial Colliers & Lower Stores

Big groups can access an additional self-contained apartment with a large breakout play/TV sitting room, four bedrooms & a family bathroom. It's an excellent option if you have multiple families staying together or need more breakout space for corporate or retreat gatherings. £1,000.00 per weekend, or if you only need 2 bedrooms extra, £500.00.

Outside: Guests have a landscaped garden with a sheltered barbecue area, children's play equipment & off-street parking.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Guests will need to bring cot bedding if it is required. Smoking is permitted outside & dogs are allowed at £25.00 per dog to deep clean & flea bomb the house between four legged guests.

Please note: Mill End is in a quiet village location and so is not suitable for DJ’s/decks. We operate a hot tub curfew of 10.00pm and a garden curfew of 12.00 midnight. No music is to be played outside as we need to respect the privacy of our neighbours.
