Large enclosed, lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This wonderful area is an ideal base for circular riverside and country walks, and to explore the Severn Way, with its own walks and perfect picnic spots.
The property consists of a living room and an open plan kitchen and dining room with bi-folding doors leading to the large garden. A utility room and a cloakroom compete the ground floor. To the first floor, there are two bedrooms and a family bathroom. To the second floor there is a double bedroom with en-suite facilities. There is off-road parking and a large enclosed lawned garden.
Many National Trust properties in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, including Berrington Hall, Brockhampton Estate, Hanbury Hall and Woodchester Mansion, are worth a visit, as are Bristol, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and Cirencester. Within easy driving are golf, ski slopes, coastal walks, Cotswold walks plus the Gloucester and Sharpness canal walks. Also within easy driving are Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetland Park, Cotswold Water Park, Berkeley Castle and Butterfly House, Prinknash Abbey (bird and deer park), Thornbury Castle and Cheltenham Race Course. The historic town of Tewkesbury with its famous abbey, Westonbirt Arboretum, Stratford-upon-Avon, the Roman city of Bath, Regency Cheltenham and the cathedral cities of Bristol and Gloucester with their historic docks are also close by. A week away for us, this was a central location for children coming from 3 different areas. Beautiful cottage, great space and lovely rural setting /views. Great off road parking. The cottage had good quality furniture/bedding and kitchen equipment all provided. Generous luxury welcome pack with owners fresh farm eggs, which were delicious! Great communications, even allowed us to check in earlier and plenty of local information provided for places to visit. Shout out to the local dog field (Happy Hounds) with a beautiful orchard (free apples!) just a short walk away which our Labrador enjoyed visiting and got his exercise, as well as lots of lovely walks locally. We had a fab week even though the weather not the best and we would love to return! Thankyou to Lucy!
