Guests say

Lords Hill Barn is a well-regarded cottage praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and comfortable setting. Guests appreciate the high standard of the conversion, the well-equipped kitchen, and the thoughtful touches like EV charging. While some guests suggested improvements, the overall sentiment is positive with many looking forward to returning.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean and well-maintained, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, a few guests mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as cat fur and dust, which slightly impacts the overall high score.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local amenities and walking trails. Its central position within the village while maintaining a peaceful environment is particularly appreciated.

Guests generally found the property to be very comfortable, with comfy beds and a relaxing atmosphere. Some concerns were raised about the suitability of the bunk beds for adults and the temperature in some rooms, which slightly lowers the score.

The property is well-equipped with a good kitchen and bathroom facilities, and the addition of an EV charge point is a bonus. However, guests noted a lack of instructions for appliances and some maintenance issues, indicating room for improvement.

While some guests mentioned the lack of a welcome pack and others appreciated the provided items, the inconsistency in experiences and the fact that gifts are not guaranteed means a score cannot be accurately given. It's important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not a standard offering.

  • Amy

Everything felt really fresh and clean, and well looked after. We requested a cot for our stay, they tested theirs out and realised that it was faulty so went out and purchased a brand new one for us- which was very appreciated. Plenty of space for the kids to run around outside. We didn’t want to come home! Definitely hope to return in the future.

Would have no hesitation in returning or recommending to someone else.

  • Susan

Definitely one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in.
