Myrtle Cottage exceeded expectations, having everything we needed for three generations to enjoy themselves. There was so much room for ten of us. The hot tub, lovely garden space and games room were wonderful bonuses. Its location is perfect for coastal visits and for The Broads, with good amenities in the immediate vicinity.Our host, Charlotte, was determined to make our stay a special one, and she thoroughly succeeded. We, 7 adults, 1 child and a dog, had a lovely stay at Myrtle cottage. Communication with the owner, Charlotte, was excellent and she met us on arrival and showed us round the property, as well as giving info on the local area and facilities. The cottage itself was spacious, clean, with calming decor and well thought out furniture, giving a relaxed and homely feel. The week was to enjoy time together as a family so we spent most of the time in the cottage, making the most out of the hot tub and games room. We enjoy playing various card and board games and the main table was big enough for this as well as eating together. The kitchen was equipped with most things we needed, the wine fridge was also well used. We arranged for a Tesco delivery for the evening of our arrival but also made the most out of the local butcher’s, about 5 min drive away, as well as going to the local market held in the village hall on Saturdays. There is a fish and chip shop, pub, restaurant as well as a couple of others shops to buy food and/or souvenirs so most things that we needed was within easy walking distance. The garden was enclosed and well maintained, however, due to the time of year and weather, we did not sit outside.

We had a wonderful stay at Myrtle Cottage for a family birthday celebration. The house was even more beautiful than the photos, with every detail thoughtfully considered to make our visit comfortable. As seasoned self caterers, we especially appreciated the basket of cleaning essentials - such a practical touch - and the lovely welcome hamper Charlotte prepared, complete with milk and treats for our stay.The layout of the house worked perfectly for our group, including the fussier members. It offered plenty of space to come together, as well as quiet corners to relax separately. The games room with its TV was a big hit, and the hot tub felt like pure luxury. The peaceful surroundings and nearby walks made it an ideal spot for anyone who enjoys nature.Charlotte was an exceptional host - warm, responsive, and helpful throughout, both before and during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. We’re genuinely grateful for the care she put into making our visit special, and we’re already looking forward to returning.
