The Wesley Apartment in Wells is highly praised for its spaciousness, excellent central location, and well-equipped kitchen, making it ideal for exploring the city and surrounding area. Guests appreciate the quiet atmosphere, parking, and thoughtful touches, with many returning for repeat stays. While some mention minor maintenance issues and cleaning inconsistencies, the overall experience is very positive, with comfort and convenience standing out. Please note, the apartment is on the top floor with no lift, which may be challenging for some.
Most guests found the apartment clean and tidy, with several describing it as spotless or immaculate. However, a few reviews mention lapses in cleaning, such as dust, unwashed crockery, and occasional maintenance of less-used items. Overall, cleanliness is good but could benefit from more consistent attention.
The location is universally praised, with guests highlighting its proximity to Wells city centre, shops, and attractions. The quiet setting and easy access to parking are also frequently mentioned as major positives.
Guests consistently describe the apartment as spacious, light, and comfortable, with good beds and a relaxing atmosphere. Some mention issues with the super king bed being two singles pushed together and occasional pillow or mattress concerns, but these do not significantly detract from overall comfort.
The apartment is well equipped with modern conveniences such as WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, and kitchen utensils. Some guests note minor maintenance issues, particularly with the boiler, showers, and occasional need for equipment updates, but these are generally addressed promptly by the owner.
Many guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as welcome packs with wine, flowers, and milk, as well as good communication from the owner. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, guests should not expect them as standard.

Unfortunately, the boiler was not working on arrival, and from comments in the guest book it appears this has been an issue before. We had no hot water or heating when we arrived, which was very much needed on a cold night in February. We contacted the owner, who then arranged for someone to come out, but they were unable to resolve the issue. My husband and I ended up trying to work out what was wrong with the boiler using the manuals. The boiler was losing pressure, and although we were advised to turn the taps underneath to regain pressure, it was difficult to balance as it often rose above the recommended limit. Once we gained some pressure, the boiler only worked intermittently and clicked loudly day and night throughout the week. On the second day, I noticed a stain on the carpet where the bedroom radiator had been leaking. I reported this, and someone was sent the next day, but the problem was not resolved. The boiler continued to click, lose pressure, and the radiator continued to leak. I was prepared to overlook these issues, but after leaving the apartment after six days, we received a message saying the cleaner was unhappy with how the apartment had been left. We left it tidy, but I was not expecting to vacuum, clean the kitchen and bathrooms, or strip the beds before departure. I had put all the rubbish out, but the bin was already full of previous rubbish, as it appeared it had not been put out for collection. This made it very heavy to remove, and this issue was also mentioned in the guest book by other guests. Overall, if the boiler is replaced and the cleaning arrangements improved, I would be happy to recommend the apartment, as it does have potential in a great location.

The car park had 2 good sized, safe and secure spaces for the property. The apartment was spotlessly clean and everything we needed was there,it was warm and there was a container of milk in the fridge and also coffee and teabags (we brought our own so didn't use). The apartment is less than a 10 minute easy walk to the high street. There is a large Tesco a 3 min walk away for all your grocery needs.Overall a lovely apartment in a central location in a charming small city.I will be recommending to family and friends.Thankyou for a wonderful stay

The apartment is fantastically position for the town and shops well equipped with everything you need although we only required it for a base as like to support the local businesses plus it saves on the tiding up lol well preportioned in all areas comfortable beds and pillows only negative not a complaint as a previous review we could not get the shower hot it could have been us as were used to an electric shower but might be an idea for the owner to run the shower when it's vacant to check if there is a problem or just us being daft
