The Cygnet receives generally positive feedback for its peaceful location, cleanliness, and well-equipped nature. Guests appreciate the homely feel, the thoughtful touches upon arrival, and the property's convenience for exploring local attractions. While most find the cottage comfortable and the owners friendly, a few guests mention issues with maintenance and the level of cleanliness in some areas.
Reviews mostly praise the property's cleanliness, with several guests describing it as immaculate. However, a few guests have raised concerns about specific areas not meeting expectations, such as sticky kitchen floors and dirty carpets, which slightly lowers the overall score.
The cottage is consistently commended for its peaceful and convenient location in a lovely village, with easy access to the coast and local attractions. The quiet setting and proximity to places of interest contribute to a high score in this category.
Guests find the cottage cosy and warm, with comfortable furnishings and a homely atmosphere. Some guests, however, have mentioned issues with bed comfort, which affects the score slightly.
The property is generally well-regarded for its facilities, being well-equipped and functional. There are a few mentions of maintenance issues, such as worn furniture, but these are relatively infrequent compared to the positive feedback.
While some guests mention receiving welcome gifts and thoughtful extras, others do not reference this aspect. As such, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the inconsistency of mentions, and the score is set to null. It should be noted that while some guests were delighted by the gifts, they are not a guaranteed amenity.

The only downside I would say was the bedroom furniture and the kitchen table and chairs, the double bed was fine, but the drawer units were very old, tired and difficult to open, the kitchen table was tired, I lent on it and thought it was going to split and the chair seats were sagging. That said we enjoyed staying there and would certainly consider staying again.

The cottage was perfect for our needs and very homely for lazy days. Lots of things to do and places to visit in the area and only 30 minutes from the Dorset coast. Thanks for a great stay
