The Barn in Somerset offers a warm, spacious, and characterful retreat, ideal for family gatherings and exploring the local area. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, the presence of farm animals, and the property's proximity to attractions. The rustic charm and friendly hosts add to the experience, although some noted areas for improvement in maintenance and cleanliness.
Most guests found The Barn clean, particularly in important areas, though some mentioned the presence of cobwebs and dust. The property's rustic nature may contribute to these perceptions, but overall, cleanliness seems satisfactory with room for improvement.
The Barn is praised for its quiet, picturesque setting and convenient location close to local attractions and nature walks. The rural charm and proximity to the Quantocks and coast are highlights, contributing to a high location score.
Guests consistently mention comfortable beds and a warm, cosy atmosphere, especially during colder months. Some concerns were raised about the suitability for those with mobility issues and the need for more showers, but overall, the property provides a comfortable stay.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample space. However, comments about worn furniture, the need for better lighting, and unreliable Wi-Fi suggest that some facilities could benefit from updates and maintenance.
While guests have not specifically mentioned gifts, they have noted the helpfulness and warmth of the hosts. Due to the lack of references to gifts, a score cannot be provided for thoughtfulness in this context.

Parking good. But Wi-Fi virtually non existent. However, we gather this could be an issue with the area in general

The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed. My only very minor complaint was the WiFi was a bit patchy but as the 4G was strong, we didn't even mention it to the host.
