Enjoying a superb location within the Exmoor National Park, with easy access to the Dunkery & Horner Wood National Nature Reserve and fantastic country views, Hedgehog Cottage is a brilliant pet-friendly dwelling for couples or a family of four, plus their canine companion, who are looking to explore Somerset. Be welcomed into the well-equipped kitchen, where you can look forward to rustling up mouth-watering meals with the help of the electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer which can be found under the stairs, and a handy dishwasher for those fuss-free clean-ups! Settle down at the dining table for four as the wine is poured, and plans are made for the days ahead. Wheddon Cross is a small village in the Exmoor National Park with a flourishing rural population, a village shop, friendly pub, and an all-weather court for a variety of sports such as tennis, netball, and basketball. Exford has a village green, tea rooms, a shop, a Post Office, and two ancient inns that provide good food and drinks in a picturesque location by the River Exe. An ideal base for us to explore a lot of Exmoor, without having to travel great distances. We visited in September and the weather was still warm enough for us to enjoy sitting out in the lovely enclosed private garden. Without doubt we would stay at Hedgehog cottage again in the future.

Location was wonderful, beautiful views over rolling hills - very private. Hedgehog cottage perfect little getaway for a couple with a dog. Cottage nicely furnished with fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room, cosy lounge. Bathroom clean and modern and bedrooms nicely dressed. Great location for hiking. Lots of circular walks within 30 mins radius. Would definitely recommend.
