The cottage was a long walk uphill from all amenities and harbour,it also had a distinct’musty’ smell. On the plus side it was well equipped and the king size beds were very comfortable. The outside garden was very shabby with no lighting at the rear or front of the cottage.

we had a very enjoyable week staying in Brixham. The cottage is in a good location with views of the sea.All 3 of the bedrooms are of a good size and the beds we used were very comfortable. Plenty of built in wardrobe space along with drawers.Downstairs the kitchen is a good size with a separate utility area for the dishwasher and washing machine. It was nice to have separate rooms from the kitchen for dining and also a separate sitting room. The harbour is a short walk away as is the BerryHead hotel which is a great place to relax with food and drink overlooking the sea.lots of good places to eat and drink in Brixham and a good selection of local shops and supermarkets. At the bottom of the hill is a saltwater swimming pool which allows for a safe area to enjoy a swim. There is a good local bus service to Peignton/Torquay/newton Abbot which runs every 12 minutes from Brixham town centre. Buses to Totnes run from Peignton. We did the 'round robin' excursion which is an open top bus from Peignton to Totnes, a river cruise to Dartmouth, Ferry to Kingswear and culminating in a steam train back to Peignton.the cottage owners were very helpful and friendly and provided lots of local information that proved very useful.
