Monterey Mews is frequently praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and convenient location close to shops and the seafront. The property is well-equipped and the owner is noted for being friendly and approachable. While some guests found the rooms smaller than expected and had minor issues with maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive, with special appreciation for the thoughtful welcome touches.
Guests consistently commend the property for its spotless condition and the high standard of cleanliness. The term 'spotlessly clean' is a recurring compliment, indicating meticulous upkeep.
The property's location is highly regarded for its proximity to local shops, restaurants, and the seafront. It is described as convenient for exploring Torbay and the surrounding areas, although one review mentioned a lack of nearby grassed areas for dog walking.
The majority of guests found the property comfortable, with a warm and cosy atmosphere. However, a few guests mentioned issues with bed comfort and low ceilings, which slightly affects the overall comfort score.
Reviews highlight the property as well-equipped with kitchen facilities, games, and books. Some guests expressed concerns over maintenance issues like loose decking boards and the need for duvet replacement, which suggests room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
Guests were delighted by the welcome packs provided, which included treats for both humans and dogs. These gestures were seen as a thoughtful touch, enhancing the guest experience. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.
