Fourways is a charming and cosy cottage praised for its cleanliness, character, and comfortable beds. It's situated in a peaceful Wiltshire location, ideal for countryside walks and visiting nearby towns. The enclosed garden is appreciated by pet owners, and the property is well-equipped for a relaxing stay. Some guests noted steep stairs and a need for minor improvements.
Guests consistently noted that Fourways was very clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating high standards are maintained.
The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful location, convenient for local walks and nearby towns. However, one review mentioned it being surrounded by lanes, which may affect the tranquillity for some.
The beds and cosy atmosphere were highlighted as comfortable, but some guests found the downstairs furniture uncomfortable and noted the steep stairs could be problematic for those with mobility issues.
The property is well-equipped and characterful, with a log burner and practical bathroom facilities. However, comments about the need for better lighting, seating comfort, and hot water issues suggest room for improvement.
While guests appreciated the welcoming gesture of biscuits and tea, as gifts are not consistently mentioned across reviews, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available information.

Not happy with being told to leave the place clean and tidy on our last day by e-mail spoilt the holiday

In walking distance to the excellent Four Stars pub which I can recommend highly. 20 minutes from Stonehenge and 15 minutes from Avebury (In the car!) Our dog was more than happy with the small but perfectly safe garden and approved of the local walks

The area is beautifully unspoilt and quiet with peaceful walks in all directions. The house is well equipped for holiday use with all the necessary utensils provided in the kitchen and large pantry. The bathroom facilities are practical and spotless. Plenty of logs are provided for the stay and instructions for the woodburner are clear, although they are on the last page of the home information document. The upstairs radiators are run off the solid fuel stove which is in the kitchen. Only a half day supply of fuel was left. Keeping this stove at the optimum operating temperature can be a bit hit and miss. In winter the stove heats both the kitchen/ dining room and upstairs, so some attention needs to be paid to the daily fuelling of the appliance by the guests. Overall the property is delightful and very comfortable and clean. The interior design and furnishing enhance the appeal of the property.
