This comfortable apartment is set in the eaves, situated in the grounds of the owners’ cottage in the hamlet of East Tytherley. The property is on the edge of the beautiful Test Valley, which winds its way from the north to the south of Hampshire and makes a lovely destination for a romantic retreat. With plenty of standing headroom, the apartment has a comfortable, open plan living area, incorporating a kitchenette with facilities for preparing basic meals after a day out and about exploring. As well as this, there is also a dining area and a sitting area with a view over the woodland scene outside and the pleasant double bedroom is beyond the living area with an en-suite shower room. This convenient, self-catering rural base provides all you need to tour this lovely area! The nearest town is Romsey, seven miles away, with its busy market, historic abbey and Broadlands House, home of the Mountbatten family. A visit to nearby Mottisfont Abbey, with its stunning gardens, is a must, or take a stroll along the banks of the River Test, one of the most coveted fishing rivers in Europe! Alternatively, the historic cathedral cities of both Salisbury and Winchester are well-worth a visit, or why not explore the scenic New Forest National Park, where swathes of purple heather and woodlands are home to wild ponies, cattle and deer? With so many options for interesting days out, you really are spoilt for choice on how to spend your holiday. All in all, this self-catering apartment is in a great setting and a lovely base for a couple’s getaway, all year round.

The hamlet of East Tytherley in Hampshire is situated on the edge of the beautiful Test Valley. Test Valley passes many historic churches, country houses and pretty villages and follows the River Test’s course; a chalk fishing stream. Close by is the market town of Romsey and both Winchester and Salisbury are within driving distance.
