Bridge Studio in Salisbury, Wiltshire, is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its idyllic location, comfortable accommodation, and friendly owners. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like cake and flowers on arrival, the secure garden for dogs, and the proximity to countryside walks and local attractions. The property's charm and the peaceful environment contribute to a relaxing stay, with many expressing a desire to return.
The majority of guests found Bridge Studio clean and comfortable, with only one mention of cleanliness issues such as cobwebs and musty towels. This seems to be an isolated incident, as other reviews do not reflect this experience.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful countryside walks, and proximity to local attractions. The peaceful setting beside the river and the ease of access to nearby towns and landmarks contribute to its high rating.
Guests consistently describe the accommodation as comfortable, spacious, and cosy, particularly noting the wood burning stove and comfortable bed. The presence of a secure garden adds to the comfort for dog owners.
Facilities are generally regarded as suitable and well-equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen and modern amenities. However, there are comments about an old TV and the lack of compatibility with modern devices, as well as a smoke detector sensitive to shower steam.
The owners are commended for their thoughtfulness, with several mentions of a welcoming cake and flowers. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
A peaceful detached barn conversion in the pretty village of Bishopstone, in the Broad Chalke Valley.
Beautifully decorated to a high standard and offering bright and airy open plan living space, this is superb rural retreat for a couple.
Upon entering Bridge Studio there is a small entrance area which leads you to the contemporary galleried living area, a relaxing space where you can kick off your shoes and warm up in front of the woodburner after a long walk. There is a well-appointed, bespoke kitchen located to the other side of the room where you both can prepare heart-warming meals to enjoy at the farmhouse style dining table.
Upstairs, you can rest and recharge in the sleigh bed before another day exploring. There is an additional bed in the gallery area should you wish to bring an extra guest. A bathroom completes Bridge Studio.
To the outside of the accommodation there is a brick-paved terrace where you can sip a glass of wine whilst heating the barbecue, and a lawned garden beyond.
Bishopstone is ideally situated in a renowned area of outstanding natural beauty popular with cyclists because of the easy access to the nearby Wiltshire Cycleway. Just six miles from the cathedral city of Salisbury, you are close to a wealth of historic attractions and independent shops and restaurants. Further afield, you are within easy driving distance to Stonehenge, Wilton House, Longleat and one hour from the Jurassic Coast.
An excellent romantic base for a holiday in Wiltshire.

The lovely welcome cake was much appreciated! There are beautiful walks directly from the doorstep & the village is idyllic with the locals being so friendly, approachable & helpful. We fell in love with the cottage & the village, so will be going back ASAP.

In a good position for exploring the Salisbury area. The cottage is well equipped for a short stay. The settees are very deep, thank you for providing multiple cushions to make it more comfy. We enjoyed the DVD selection in the evenings, and admired Aliceâs pottery.
