The secure, dog-friendly garden provides a lovely outdoor space with seating, while firewood is available for cosy evenings. Inside, the open-plan living area features a well-equipped kitchen with a Calor gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. The ground floor is fully accessible, offering a twin bedroom, shower room, and toilet. Upstairs, you’ll find a double bedroom with stunning views over the arena, a dressing room with a single bed, and a modern shower room.

The Old Tack Room is in a good location, on a lovely larger property. The property owner / host is a lovely and very interesting lady. The only issue we had was the poor standard of cleanliness within the property (we understand that the usual cleaner had been ill and unavailable) and this is reflected within the ratings above. The property would also benefit from wifi, particularly if younger people are staying.

We had a really enjoyable and comfortable week at the Old Tack Room. If you want a rustic and countryside break we would recommend.We have two dogs and we're able relax and enjoy surroundings.Gillian is amazing and kept us well stocked with wood for the log burner.Would definitely come again.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. However the cottage lacked heating, there were portable electric heaters and a wood burner (which needed servicing). The cottage was full of personal items. Great country walks across the plain. Unfortunately, no local pub.
