Guests say

Red Lion Corner is a charming, character-filled cottage in the heart of Lavenham, offering a unique and homely experience. Guests consistently praise its historic atmosphere, spaciousness, and unbeatable location for exploring the village on foot. The property is well-equipped and comfortable, with thoughtful touches and a lovely garden. While some furnishings show their age and headroom can be challenging for taller guests, these aspects are generally seen as part of the cottage's authentic charm. Overall, visitors highly recommend this delightful home for a memorable stay in a beautiful setting.

Guests frequently describe the property as comfortable, homely, and well-maintained, with no negative comments about cleanliness. The positive tone and absence of complaints suggest a high standard of cleanliness throughout the cottage.

The location is universally praised, with guests loving its central position in Lavenham, proximity to the market square, and ease of exploring the village on foot. The setting is described as beautiful and ideal for both relaxation and local adventures.

Reviewers highlight the cottage's spaciousness, comfortable beds, and relaxing atmosphere. While some mention low headroom in places due to the historic nature of the house, overall comfort is rated very highly.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen (though lacking a dishwasher), lovely communal spaces, and a garden. Some furnishings are described as worn but in keeping with the property's age. The bathroom arrangement requires some movement between floors, but this is clearly communicated and not seen as a major drawback.

Guests appreciate the helpfulness and flexibility of the hosts and contact person, as well as thoughtful touches like a record player and picnic supplies. While some reviews mention a lack of basic food supplies, there is no mention of gifts, and any such gestures cannot be guaranteed.

We had a wonderful time exploring lovely Lavenham, the birthplace of my late father in law, the artist Roy Turner Durrant. The village is incredibly old and interesting. The house is wonderful, full of character and interesting artefacts and antiques. We made use of the bbq in the private courtyard garden, and the record player was wonderful with a fabulous collection of vinyl records. A great place to stay, would highly recommend and would love to come again! Ceri and family
