Guests say

Red Lion Corner in Lavenham is a charming, wonky cottage with a rich character and history, offering a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable communal rooms, and a lovely garden. It's ideally situated for exploring the village on foot and serves as a great base for long country walks. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, the quietness despite its central location, and the attentive hosts.

There are no specific mentions of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

The cottage boasts an excellent location, right on the market square with easy access to local attractions and amenities, making it a perfect spot for guests looking to explore Lavenham and the surrounding countryside.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable and quiet, with ample space for relaxation. However, some mention that the headroom can be challenging for taller individuals, and movement between floors is necessary due to the bathroom layout.

The property is well-stocked with essentials for a stay, including kitchen equipment (though lacking a dishwasher). The furniture is noted to be a bit worn, which adds to the charm but suggests some maintenance may be needed.

While guests have expressed high satisfaction with their stay and the service provided by the hosts, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. It should be noted that such gestures, if provided, are a bonus and not guaranteed.

Great location. Decor and furniture as you would expect for a house of this style so a little tired but in keeping with surroundings. Headroom a little challenging in places for my 6ft2 husband ! Would definitely stay again.

Such a fabulous, spacious, character-filled house, right on the main square in lovely Lavenham. A perfect place for our family getaway.

We loved it here. Lavenham is beautiful… like stepping back in time. The house is wonky and charming. It has everything you’ll need. You are in the heart of the little village so you can explore on foot. We did a treasure trail while we were there which was fun and helped us find out interesting information about the village. I would definitely recommend.
