John Fanner Barn is one of three properties situated within the grounds of Yaxley Manor House. This spacious two storey timber-framed barn is filled with character throughout. There is a large, central reception room with galleried landing bedroom which continues to a king size bedroom. John Fanner Barn has a traditional finish and also has shared use of the grounds. Ideally located only half a mile away from the local pub and approximately fifteen minutes to the historic market town of Diss, five minutes to Eye and approximately half an hour to Norwich City centre this location is a great base. John Fanner Barn, Coachman’s Cottage and Coach House and are all situated within the same grounds and the three can be booked together to accommodate larger parties.

Every surface was dirty and/or sticky. The toilet seat had come away from the toilet and whilst this was fixed promptly, there were ingrained ***** stains on the underside. We spent the first 2 days cleaning, vacuuming and mopping trying to make the best of things. When we removed the duvet covers to wash them the stains sent us over the edge and we left. The sofas are grotty. The dust had been left so long it was clumping in the corners. There was hair everywhere. The mattres was uneven, lumpy and uncomfortable so we used a blow up from storage. The hot water only lasts long enough for one person. Every single pot and pan had damaged Teflon which came off whilst cooking. Not a single piece of cutlery matched. Front door lock sticks. Woodburner door is not air tight.

We loved staying at the John Fanner Barn. It was comfortable, clean and stylish. Beautiful, large garden space, the dogs loved it! The surrounding countryside is so peaceful. The description states that there is no carbon monoxide alarm or esentials provided - however there are both of these things. We had towels provided, milk, teabags and a few luxuries. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely little barn conversion with charm. Bringing peace and tranquility. Lovely quiet location, a perfect home for our break. Would have been nice to have a bathroom on the bedroom floor.
