Doves Barn can be hired for the weekend, midweek or the whole week and sleeps up to twenty two guests. Sitting in the beautiful hamlet of Badley in Suffolk, Doves Barn is an ideal country retreat for a relaxing holiday and full of 16th Century Grade II listed charm, perfectly combined with modern conveniences. A haven from which to relax and unwind, guests can escape the pressures of every day life whilst still being within easy driving distance of the pretty villages and historic towns that Suffolk is famed for. Sitting amongst two acres of extensive grounds, Doves Barn is spacious and well-equipped to offer a high level of comfort with the added bonus of a a six seater hot tub as well as a courtyard and two patios for alfresco dining when the sun shines. Wonderful original features such as the vaulted ceiling criss crossed with exposed beams in the living room provide immense charm and the large inglenooks housing wood burners are warm and inviting during the winter months.

Whether you enjoy walking, wildlife spotting or cycling, Doves Barn is a popular choice and easy to access from London by train or car. It is less than a mile away from historic Needham Market which played its part in Suffolk's wool industry; and within easy driving distance of Bury St. Edmunds with its theatre and attractive Abbey with beautiful grounds. Ipswich with its bustling marina, Colchester, and the vibrant historic city of Norwich are also accessible as are the picturesque Suffolk villages of Long Melford, Lavenham and Kersey, as well as the Museum of East Anglia.

Doves Barn sleeps large parties of up to twenty two in six bedrooms plus there are two galleries with king-size beds.

Accommodation comprises:

Ground floor

Large sitting room where you can relax with flat screen television, DVD player, huge inglenook with log burner, French doors letting the outside in and high vaulted ceilings creating a lovely sense of space.

Dining room which has a long table with chairs and French doors.

Kitchen well equipped with everything needed for self-catering including a table with chairs perfect for breakfast.

Utility room with space for storing coats and boots.

Two doubles, one twin and a spacious large family room (containing three single beds along with a double bunk) on the ground floor (two with en-suites).

Bathroom with lovely roll-top bath, shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.

First floor

One double bedroom which has an en-suite shower room and WC, leading through into the galleried area which has a king-size bed and a single.

An additional staircase from the ground floor leads upstairs where there is an additional gallery with double bed, along with a spacious en-suite double bedroom which has a four poster and beams adding to the charm.

Additional information: Cot and 2 x high chairs available (pls bring linen for the cot). Flexible changeovers available - please enquire with the owner who will do their best to accommodate your needs. Bed linen provided, along with hand towels but please bring your own bath towels. Short breaks available. No outside noise please after 11pm.
