The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!

Multiple issues at the property. 1. Wet sofas and in poor condition 2. Dog hairs on cushions and bean bags 3. Cafetière not cleaned out and rusty lid 4. General areas of long term/ in ground dirt 5. Broken and chipped kitchen equipment 6. Loose toilet seat I contacted the housekeeper within 15 minutes of arrival at the property. She contacted me back after speaking to the owner. She said that no one else had complained and suggested we cover the wet sofas with blankets from the beds and also leave the heating on full all night. The wet sofa cushions did not dry out until the Saturday afternoon. This impacted our enjoyment of our weekend. We are a group of 7 ladies that like to sit round together (I always pick a property for a good communal areas with enough sofa room for us all) Neither the housekeeper or the owner contacted me during the weekend (or since) to check to see if we had resolved the issues. I contacted Best of Suffolk on return from the weekend. Sent them multiple photos and had numerous correspondence with them. I gave them ample opportunity to sort out some form of compensation for the issues we had and the impact on our weekend. I have drawn a blank. Absolutely no compensation offered whatsoever and not even a written apology. Best of Suffolk say there is nothing they can do about it. Needless to say, I will not be booking with them again and would not recommend them. I have booked numerous self catering properties over the last 20 years and this is the first ever time I’ve had cause to complain.

It was lovely and homely and so tastefully decorated that we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the door. It was very cosy and warm with plenty of hot water. It was spotlessly clean throughout and the linen and towels were lovely. The kitchen was so well equipped and it was great to have sharp knives which is a rarity in hired accommodation. We did not have to purchase any extras like dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, bin bags etc. - we just wish other owners were so thoughtful. The house is in a fantastic location, just minutes away from the high street and beach. We only have positive feedback for this property and would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending to friends. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

Everything is of the highest standard - decor, furnishings, appliances. The location is perfect for the lovely high street, the sea and the marches. We couldn’t fault it - and the huge ordnance survey map on the wall in the hall is absolute genius!
