Guests generally appreciate the cottage's comfort, cleanliness, and well-equipped kitchen. The garden is a highlight, especially for dog owners, though some concerns about gate security were noted. The property's proximity to local amenities and the seafront is praised, and thoughtful touches like a welcome bottle of wine are well-received. Some guests mentioned issues with maintenance and the downstairs bathroom.
Most guests found the cottage to be beautifully clean, with only one mention of cleaning being subpar on a return visit. This suggests high standards of cleanliness with a rare oversight.
The location is deemed practical and convenient, close to the seafront and local shops. However, some guests noted the property is on a main road, which affected their stay.
The majority of reviews highlight the cottage's comfort, mentioning comfortable beds and a cosy lounge. One review cited the stairs as potentially challenging for some guests.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and efficient heating. However, there were issues with hot water and shower maintenance, and suggestions for an additional upstairs toilet.
While guests appreciated the welcome touches such as a bottle of wine and a gift-wrapped parcel of household items, there is not enough information to guarantee these are consistent offerings for all stays.

Grill in main oven did not work. The property was not very well cleaned, some areas worse than others. Location of property was fantastic. Very well equipped, everything you need for a stay. No upstairs loo was a small issue for my husband, we did not think this was not very clear in ad.

The water wasn't hot enough to bath in, albeit the shower was excellent.

We missed the part of the description where it said about the downstairs bathroom, and found this to be quite a big problem. I am 75 and severely visually impaired, to negotiate from the bedroom, down the stairs and across the large kitchen to the toilet, in the middle of the night, was quite challenging. The same for my husband. The lounge was ok but very dark, even with the light on, making it difficult to see to read etc, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of tableware and cutlery and the little, gift-wrapped parcel of dish cloths, sponge, bin bags and dishwasher and washing machine tablets was a lovely touch, even though we didn't use either of them, as was the bottle of wine that was left for us, which we did use. All-in-all, lovely place but shame about the downstairs bathroom.
